What to expect at your Dietitian Consultation
INITIAL CONSULTATION INCLUDING A PERSONALIZED MEAL PLAN (60 minutes)
- Anthropometric assessment (using INBODY technology which provides a report on percentage body fat, skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, muscle mass, water, bone mass and visceral fat measurements)
- Biochemical assessment (I am registered with PathCare, Ampath, LANCET & Hamadi Labs therefore if you do need blood tests (after I have done your assessment) then I will be able to put this in place otherwise please send any lab tests which have been done in the last 3 months to me (info@kirbyhendricksrd.co.za) BEFORE your appointment
- Clinical assessment (discussion regarding any symptoms you are experiencing)
- Dietary assessment (previous dietary intake is assessed, suggested changes and goals are formulated)
After the consultation, you will receive a personalized meal plan designed specifically for your goals, medical history, exercise routine, and food preferences. Your meal plan also includes easy and wholesome recipes, shopping list etc. and will be emailed to you 1-3 days after your initial assessment.
SECOND CONSULTATION (60 minutes)
This is where we focus on your feeback and go through the foundations you’ve learnt in your initial assessment. We go through your biochemsitry, if you have had any blood tests done, a comprehensive discussion and explanation will be given. From your results we will adjust and finalize your meal plan and give you a personalized supplement schedule if required.
FOLLOW-UP CONSULTATIONS (30 minutes)
Follow-up sessions are tailor made to your specific needs and requirements. These are only some of the points which can be covered.

- Lifestyle modification and monitoring
- Continued education
- Accountability
I do not have one single approach to weight loss or any specific health condition as I believe that each person is different therefore each person requires a unique approach. Therefore, I use my clinical judgement and experience to help you find an approach which will fit into your lifestyle, even if you are managing various health issues.

| Please note that all consultation fees are due immediately after the completion of the service via cash or EFT. The practice does not submit claims directly to medical aids. You may submit your statement to your medical aid for reimbursement purposes, if eligible. | ||
