Fish Tacos
These fish tacos are the perfect easy dinner or quick lunch idea, full of flavour and colour. With crispy hake, a simple spicy slaw, and creamy avocado, they’re balanced, nutritious, and ideal for Taco Tuesday or any busy weeknight.

Ingredients:
For the Hake
- 150g hake fillets (I used Woolworths hake medallions)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp mixed herbs
- 1 tbsp paprika
For the Rainbow Slaw
- 100g rainbow slaw
- 2 tsp mayo
- ½ tsp sriracha
- 2 tsp water (to thin sauce)
Garnish
- ½ small avocado, sliced
- Fresh coriander
- Sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a bowl, marinate hake with olive oil, mixed herbs, and paprika.
- Air-fry at 180°C for 10 minutes, until cooked through.
- In a separate bowl, mix rainbow slaw, mayo, sriracha, and water.
- Assemble tacos: layer fish, slaw, avocado slices, and top with coriander and sesame seeds.
Notes:
- Serve in soft tortillas or wraps or taco shells for an authentic feel.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lime for brightness.
- Perfect with roasted sweet potato wedges on the side for a fibre boost.
